How to join the GoPayhawk agent network
Apply and connect
Fill out a short application or reach out directly. We'll schedule a call to understand your background, your merchant relationships, and which agent path makes sense for you — sales agent or referral partner.
Get set up with your tools
Once onboarded, you receive access to your partner portal, sales collateral, the free statement analysis tool, and your dedicated partner manager contact. Sales agents also receive training on our product set and boarding process.
Submit merchants or referrals
Sales agents work their pipeline and submit merchant applications directly. Referral agents make the introduction and hand off the contact — GoPayhawk takes it from there, keeping you updated on the status.
Earn and grow
Sales agents receive monthly residual statements and payments once merchants go live. Referral agents receive their bonus upon merchant activation. Every merchant you add compounds your monthly income.
Common questions from prospective agents
Do I need payments industry experience to become a sales agent?
Prior payments experience is helpful but not required. We provide training on our products, pricing models, and the boarding process. Many of our most successful agents came from other sales backgrounds — business services, insurance, telecom, financial services — and applied their existing relationship skills to the payments space.
How are residuals calculated and when do I get paid?
Residuals are calculated monthly based on each merchant's processing volume and your agreed revenue split. Statements are issued at the close of each month and payment follows shortly after. Your partner portal gives you real-time visibility into your portfolio's volume so there are no surprises when your statement arrives.
What happens to my residuals if a merchant closes or switches processors?
Residuals stop when a merchant stops processing — that's the nature of recurring income. Our retention team actively works to keep merchants happy, which protects your portfolio. If a merchant does leave, your residuals from all other active merchants continue unaffected. We do not claw back previously earned residuals.
As a referral agent, what exactly do I need to do?
Your job is to make the introduction. That can be as simple as sharing a contact's information with your GoPayhawk partner manager, or sending a warm email connecting the business owner to our team. Once the introduction is made, GoPayhawk handles the analysis, proposal, application, and boarding. You are kept informed at key milestones and receive your referral bonus when the merchant activates.
Can I refer high-risk businesses?
Yes. GoPayhawk has banking partnerships that allow us to board many business types that standard processors decline — including e-commerce, nutraceuticals, subscription services, firearms-related businesses, and others. If you have a relationship with a high-risk merchant who has struggled to get approved elsewhere, that is a referral worth making. Contact us to discuss the specific business type before submitting.
